Begin by assessing if you have adequate flat surface for mounting. Refer to the flat surface requirements for your chosen window treatment.
Width Measurement
- Measure the width of the window at three points: top, middle, and bottom.
- Record the largest width measurement.
- It is recommended to add 3 ¼ inches to this measurement. For instance, if the window opening measures 62 inches, it is advisable to order a width of 65 ¼ inches. This additional width provides coverage on each side of the window, ensuring improved light and privacy control while minimizing light gaps.
- This calculated width is what you should specify for your order.
Height Measurement
- Measure the height at three points: top left, center, and top right down to the bottom sill.
- Note the largest height measurement.
- Adding at least 3 ¼ inches to this measurement (extra inches for the top and extra inches for the bottom) is recommended to ensure proper coverage of the window.
- This measured height is what you should indicate for your order.
